Quinte Computer Services Ltd. (QCS) was incorporated in 1974 to supply the Eastern Ontario business community and school boards with computer services using a large mainframe computer in a batch environment using punched cards. These clients enjoyed the use of a full professional computer department on an as needed basis.
In 1977, Quinte Computer embraced the new multi-user, multi-tasking minicomputers which had become available and began offering cost effective online timesharing services out of a central location. This enabled our clients to enjoy the benefits of an in-house computer department without the prohibitive cost.
In 1984, with the emergence of high-powered microcomputers, Quinte Computer was able to offer customers a choice of inexpensive systems based at the customers site, or our classic timesharing service.
QCS has designed, programmed, refined and implemented Enterprise systems for more than 30 years and has clients located throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
